Country Fair Announces Second Annual Non-Profit “Country Fair Cares” Fund Total
Country Fair annually gives to a variety of local charities. The Country Fair Cares (CFC) program was created in 2019 to assist 501 c-3 non-profit organizations with a pooled funding formula. In 2019, CFC raised $134,203.
Country Fair’s leadership selected five non-profit organizations to become CFC partners in 2020. These partners include The Mercy Center for Women, Erie Philharmonic, NAMI, St. Martin Center, and Erie Animal Network. These funds were tracked through the Country Fair “Charity Pumps” between May 1, 2020 – October 31, 2020. We’re excited to announce that during this six-month timeframe Country Fair Cares raised $142,277! Each non-profit organization received $28,455.
“With the COVID-19 pandemic, we had no idea what to expect this year. Our community has once again stepped up to the plate and we couldn’t be happier with the success of this program,” said Paul Rankin, Vice President of Country Fair.
Non-profit organizations are encouraged to apply at: www.countryfairstores.com/community. The deadline has been extended to December 31, 2020. All non-profits will receive written correspondence by January 15, 2021. Successful CFC partners are not eligible to re-apply for three years following their donation; please no phone calls.
