Erie, PA – Country Fair Incorporated, a chain of 72 convenience stores headquartered in Erie, PA, has been named one of America’s Best-In-State Employers of 2021 by Forbes, which recognized a total of 100 companies throughout the Commonwealth with at least 500 employees. Survey participants were asked to give their opinions on a series of statements surrounding work-related topics including working conditions, salary, the potential for development, and company image regarding their current employer.
America’s Best Employers were selected based on an independent survey where more than 80,000 employees working for companies with at least 500 people employed in their U.S. locations were asked open-ended questions about their employer. The survey took place between October of 2020 and June of 2021. Forbes posted their results online on August 24th, 2021.
Country Fair boasts over 1250 associates working in northwestern PA, western NY, and eastern Ohio. Country Fair greatly values its employees’ ability to deliver fresh locally produced convenience merchandise via top customer service to its customers every day! Country Fair has done its best over its 55+ years of existence to provide employees with an inclusive work environment that focuses on a customer service culture.
According to Paul Rankin, Vice President of Retail Marketing, “We encourage our staff to live by our mission of Country Fair Cares – for its community, its customers, and for one another. We do our best to provide our associates with an atmosphere where they can learn and grow. We also offer some unique cultural events each year, including inviting everyone to our annual trade show to meet face to face with our vendor partners, and rewarding associates who exemplify excellent customer service by inviting them to an annual picnic. Our management staff enjoys some of the greatest benefits in our industry.”
“We’re pleased to provide a workplace that people are proud enough to nominate us for such an award. This award is especially gratifying to our Executive team because both Forbes and Statistica provide a unique forum where employer influence is impossible. That means that the associates who were interviewed truly spoke from their hearts about our organization.”
Country Fair Inc. has been an integral part of the community it serves since 1965. Their most current community initiative is their “Pump for Charity” program where proceeds from every gallon of fuel pumped from designated charity pumps are given to five local charities.
The award is presented by Forbes, a global media, branding, and technology company, and Statista, a leading provider of market and consumer data. For more information about Country Fair, visit www.countryfairstores.com.
